Editorial Policy

Dr Childbirth publishes original content on pregnancy, birth, baby care, and postpartum life. This page explains how that content is created and labeled.

Draft vs. published

Every article carries a status. A draft is not published, is not indexed by search engines, and is not linked from navigation, category pages, or the sitemap — it exists only so an editor can review it before it goes live. Only articles marked published are visible on the live site.

Authorship

Every published article names a writer. Where a named, verified writer is not yet assigned, the byline reads “Dr Childbirth Editorial Team” rather than inventing a name or credentials.

Medical review

Articles are only described as medically reviewed when a real, named reviewer has actually reviewed them — see our Medical Review Policy. An article without a reviewer byline has not been reviewed, and its disclaimer banner says so.

Sources

We do not fabricate statistics, studies, or citations. Where an article references a specific figure or finding, it links to a real source. Where a source is not yet in place, the claim is written in general, non-specific terms instead.
